SHINY SHOES

VERSE:   I'm never really lonely and the fun never ends, when I wake up in the morning, it starts all over again.  I sing to Kings and Queens, Brides and Grooms, I sing to beautiful girls in blue wallpapered rooms.  Even if you travel around the world, every smile ya see, ya see the same girl.

(Do  Do's)

VERSE:  I learned about truth, both wrong and right, when I had to lie to girl's moms, in the middle of the the night.  I don't eat green jelly beans, but love Caviar, met a thousand pretty ladies and broke a thousand little hearts.

(Do  Do's)

CHORUS:  I like to think about friends and places that I've seen, but when I think about her, God I just can't breath.  I got this hundred dollar hair cut and Shiny pair of Shoes.  Just can't stop the thinkin and I ain't sure what to do.

SOLO

VERSE:  I'm never really lonely and the fun never ends, when I wake up in the morning, it starts all over again.   In lavish hotel rooms -- my name is always Smith, I never spend much time wondering what if.

(Do  Do's)

VERSE:  Knowing what the ride is like and still getting one, leaves them teary-eyed and wondering when the morning when the morning  finally comes.

Thinking about it  -- ain't sure what to do.

Hundred dollar hair cut -- Shiny pair of Shoes.

CHORUS: Sometimes I need to just "STOP" and think for a while, Every girl you see, you see the same smile.

Sometimes I need to

 "JUST STOP!!"

ON THE RADIO

VERSE:  If your needin to impress and you want to make romance, there's always a song that will make you want to dance.  Leavin, lovin, loosin, stuff you gotta like.  Dealing with the passionate side of life.

CHORUS:  I want to be "On The Radio" singing sweet songs you know.  It'll bring you up if your feeling low "On The Radio".  Everyone will know its me and turn it up, way up loud.  I'm gonna be so happy and my Mom - she'll be so proud.

Fumblin with chords - does it all sound right.  Has to be something, something I know they'll like.  Working out the lyrics can be such a grind.  Need to make sure though that it all rhymes.

VERSE:  Bettersweet love songs spillin from my mind.  Fueled by life, experience, and cheap red wine.  I'll need to check my heart, maybe search my soul, cause I got to get myself "On The Radio".

SOLO

VERSE:  Hard or soft, sweet or tart, we need to hear something, that'll wrench a heart.  Feelings and memories overloading the brain.  Got to get it down before I go in insane.

MO GIN

VERSE:  It might make ya better, but still ain't good, when most of what ya say, can't be understood.  Cause ya party at night, can't get enough, wake-up in the morning, can't get up.  If ya missed your chance, when it called, they can't blame you, it all Mo Gin's fault.

Probably shouldn't call it, your best friend.  Cause when the room starts to spin -- ya know it's Mo Gin.  When ya take a notion, reach out and kiss her, it's that love potion, the clear elixir.

SOLO

When your baby don't love ya, love ya so good, it keeps ya from doing, the stuff ya should.

You know who to blame when your head starts to spin or when you forget what your saying you know it's Mo Gin -- "One more Please."

CHORUS:  When your talkin about stuff ya know nothing about, it's not really you -- it's Mo Gin speaking out.  When your really not getting what needs to be got, is when Mo Gin steps in and straightens it out.

SOLO

It might make ya better, but still ain't good, when most of what ya say, can't be understood.  Probably shouldn't call it your best friend when troubles brewin you know it's Mo Gin.  Take a notion, reach out and kiss her, its that love potion, that clear elixir.

SOLO

Mo Gin starts talking -- ya can't shut em up.

Keep fallen down

CAN'T GET UP.

GONNA LEAVE LA

VERSE:  Gonna leave LA Get out of this mess, gonna take what I can carry, gonna leave the rest.

Crowding me out, need to find some space, must be some room, in some other place.

CHORUS:   some kinda path, is some kinda joke, with no government will to fix anything broke.  Car in the ditch is what they love to say, why are those to blame still in charge today.

VERSE:  State of my State, with all these politics, not hearing me, just makes me sick.

SOLO

CHORUS:  With the lines and the wait, who really wins, how can the means justify the end.  I drop to my knees, and pray oh Lord please, when you get a minute could ya make a little room for me.

VERSE:  Schools full up, hospitals closing down, traffic and crowds messin up this town.  Can't understand the things you're saying, we're both confused, it's so frustrating.

CHORUS:  Just can't escape, the lines and the wait, when you go out plan on being late.  I don't blame the folks, that would make no sense, but did the founding fathers ever envision this?

VERSE:  Maybe I'll jump a train, maybe heading South, maybe I'll just ride, till the tracks run out, or maybe catch a plane, with some money I'll borrow, won't matter much, if I'll be gone tomorrow.

VERSE: Gonna leave LA, get out of this mess,

gonna take what I can carry,

GONNA LEAVE THE REST.
